Shiva Temple No.1 Barukheda

This temple is built on a high platform in west-facing
Panchaarathi plan. The temple has garbhagriha, antaral, mandap
and ardhmandap. The wall of this garbh-griha sans an idol are
ordinary and the vitana ( ceiling) is octagonal and a bloomed
lotus is carved on it. The temple was originally built in 13th
century. Its pinnacle, mandap etc were built in 16th century.

| Built in Pancharath style
the west-facing temple has a garbh-griha, antaral and mahamandap.
The garbha-griha is square and devoid of any idol. There are three
entrance gates to the mahanandap and each gate has three artistic
jambs. This temple of Bhumij style was built in 16th century. |

| The east-facing temple
is built in Pancharathi scheme and its garbha-griha is square. The
walls of the garbha-griha are undecorated. There is one Rathika
(projection) each on the southern, northern and western walls and
has no idols. The ceiling is based on four pillars. The temple was
built in 16th century A.D. |

Bhuwara Temple, Khor

| The ground plan of this
east-facing temple consists of garbha-griha, a vast mandap and mukhmandap.
In the remains of the temple only some portion survives in only
Vedibandh, but its plan is clear. Remains of a Jain temple have
been found in the cleaning of left side portion of this temple.
The ground plan of the temple comprises garbha-griha. The mandap
is supported by twelve pillars and mahamandap on 52 pillars. Chronologically
both the temples found in the clearance of Bhuwara belong to 12th
century. |

Panchdeval Temple, Jeeran

| This temple was built
in Aulikar period ( 6th century A.D.).Originally a five-faced Shivalinga
and an idol of Gauri were installed in the garbha-griha, which belong
to Aulikar period on the basis of style. According to an inscription
of V.S. 1202 attached to the temple , this temple was renovated
in 1145 A.D. by Guhil rulers. The ground plan of the temple consists
of garbha-griha, antaral and mandap. The triple-jambs gateway was
built by the Guhilas. The lalat bimb( lintel piece) is also decorated.
The garbha-griha is square having two Shivalingas. On the basis
of style the Shivalinga situated in the middle belongs to 12th century.
There is another five-faced Shivalinga which gave the temple its
name- Panchadeval. This is the original Shivalinga and on the basis
of style it belongs to 6th century. |

Bhanutiket Ki Chhatri, Jeeran

| The Chhatri was built
in 1597 A.D. after Bhanu Singh Shaktawat fell to the battlefield.
On the basis of the platform, vitana and shikhar of the Chhatri,
it was built in 16th century. The Chhatri was built from the remains
of the temples of Guhil period. Four pillars of the Chhatri belong
to 10th century. On the basis of style the pillars belong to the
mandap of a temple. In all , 19 inscriptions of 9th to 10th century
are carved on the pillars of the Chhatri. |

Jeeran Ki Garhi

| There goes a legend about
the name of this place. According to it the fortress was named so
because there exists a natural water source here. This fortress
was probably built at the time of Jodh Singh Bakhtawar. At present
it is all but ruined. Its main entrance is to the east. There are
bastions on all four corners. At the time of the revolt of 1857
the Britishers destroyed the southern and eastern walls of the fortress.
On the basis of style the fortress was built in 16-17 the century

Shiva Temple (Mandari), Jeran

| This small temple is
of Sarvatobhadra style with entrances from all four sides. This
temple of square plan has kumbha, kalash and kapotika sanghat of
Vedibandh in the exterior plan. Its upper walls are plain and the
vitana is decorated. On the basis of style it belongs to 13th century. |

The Temple on right side of Panchadeval
Mahadev Mandir, Jeeran

| This east-facing temple
of Maratha period belongs to 19th century. A Shivalanga and a Nandi
are situated in its garbha-griha. There is a prdakshina path around
the garbha-griha with arches. The ardhamandap and mandap are made
of bricks and lime. The material of ancient temples has also been
used in the construction of this temple. |

Dhaba Mata Mandir, Nayagaon

| This temple originally
belongs to 10th century. After it was ruined the temple was renovated
in 18th century A.D. Worship is performed at this temple. The plan
of the temple consists of garbha-griha, antaral, mandap and mukhamandap.
There is a step-well outside the temple. The step-well is ancient
which was renovated subsequently. |
